I only have 2 wires coming off my telescope inside a wire loom: power and USB. I keep the mount, pier extension and tripod connected and move it as a unit for quick setup and so I don't have to bubble balance it each time I use it.

I took the spring off of the altitude bolt on the EQ6-R because it was driving me nuts during Polar Alignment. I installed a longer hex bolt and a small washer to make it stable.

The Pegasus Powerbox Advance 2 is attached with velcro in case I ever want to use it with another telescope. You might notice the black tape I put on the Pegasus PPA. That is covering the 12V input connection that I don't use. If you mistakenly plug the 12V output into that connector, it will fry the electronics of the PPA.

Paint tic marks were added on the ADM Losmandy Plate where it crosses the front and back of the saddle for quick balance of the telescope in DEC. I also added a paint mark on the counter-weight bar for weights placement for quick balance in RA.

I posted a detailed install and review with pics of the Sky Watcher 8" Pier Extension on Cloudy Nights if anyone is thinking of buying one for their EQ6-R mount. Must have upgrade for a big refractor to keep the Camera from hitting the Tripod. Search "Sky Watcher EQ6R Pier Extension."
